Craig Thompson is a seasoned media professional with more than 25 years in content creation, production and management in the Canadian and international film and television industry.
A proven talent on both sides of the camera, Craig has traveled the globe telling stories and entertaining audiences with his unique brand of intelligence, humour and enthusiasm. Today, he is as focused as ever on bringing high-quality, sophisticated and fun visual entertainment to audiences everywhere.
He also has a keen interest in the next generation of Canadian media professionals and has donated his time and energy to educate, advise and inspire hundreds of high school and college students interested in pursuing careers in the media industry.
Rebecca’s background in business management and administration makes her ideally suited for her role as Production Administrator and Office Manager. For eight years, she was executive director and manager of a large not-for-profit childcare centre in B.C. before relocating back to Ontario. Her focus in HR and strategic planning, are an asset to the company.
Continuing her success of Leadership Victoria, she plays an active role in the community with Stratford's Rotaract Club.
She is also a certified Yoga instructor.
Decebal’s career is strongly tied to the Romanian Revolution of 1989, which erupted while he worked as a freelance photographer and videographer. Decebal captured shocking images of the revolution, which were broadcast around the world. Since moving to Canada in 2004, Decebal (who was also a founder of Romania's first private television station) continues to impress with his amazing sense for directing, cinematography, and editing. His style mixes high-end quality with an artistic, cultured and underground edge.
Originally from China, Koi spent 17 years living and working in Japan. For more than a decade, she worked as a marketing and sales professional with NEC, one of Japan’s largest and most prestigious technology companies. Based in Tokyo, she was responsible for developing and managing new partnerships in China and Taiwan. She earned her undergraduate degree in Computer Science and holds a Masters Degree (with distinction) in Information Technology. Fluent in Mandarin, Japanese and English, Koi is spearheading Ballinran's production relationships with China
Andrea is a veteran television executive who represents Ballinran with broadcasters, producers and distributors in the United States. Based in Miami, her professional credentials include stints with the biggest players in the entertainment world including Warner Brothers, Columbia Pictures, HBO, Time Life Video and Playboy TV International where as Vice-President of Production and Sales she oversaw a 50 per cent increase in the iconic magazine’s worldwide TV content sales over a three-year period. “Experience, relationships and knowledge of industry needs are everything when it comes to developing, producing and distributing programming on the ever increasing number of content platforms.”
With a foundation in sound and music production, Stew Cappie moved into the radio industry where he worked as an announcer and commercial producer before launching his own video production company.
A native of Scotland, Stew’s family is part of the McGregor clan that was exiled several hundred years ago but allowed to return if they changed their name. Stew emigrated to Canada with his family as a young lad but still holds onto his Scottish roots by playing the bagpipes.
Collin Gibson is multi-faceted creative professional who brings his skills as a graphic designer, web creator and musician to every project he tackles. Like the ‘tiny house’ he built for his family, Collin is a minimalist who brings that perspective to his creative projects.
“I like simplicity – in form and concept,” says Gibson, a Scottish native who graduated from Glasgow Caledonian University with a degree in audio technology and multimedia. Collin has been the creative director behind numerous web sites, corporate branding and advertising campaigns.
An award-winning playwright, screenwriter and journalist, Rick began his career as an actor, making a living on the stage for 15 years - an experience that provided the creative foundation for his writing career. His plays have been produced at the Stratford Festival, the Barter Theatre in Virginia and at many other theatres across North America.
His screenplay Piano Man was a finalist in a number of screenwriting competitions including Matt Damon’s Project Greenlight and the Nashville Film Festival. He has co-written several documentaries and his articles have been featured in the New York Times, The Toronto Star and The London Free Press. He has written a weekly column for Sun Media newspapers since 2005.
